TechIsland Pushes for Temporary Facilitation Measures for the Relocation and Employment of TechIsland Members’ Employees to Cyprus
TechIsland Pushes for Temporary Facilitation Measures for the Relocation and Employment of TechIsland Members’ Employees to Cyprus.
In light of recent warfare, of all the migration issues which have been created by this conflict, and in line with the continuous support which TechIsland likes to show to its 120 tech member companies which are now employing over 8,000 people in Cyprus and over 50,000 worldwide, Techisland has requested from the Cyprus Civil Registry Migration Department (CRMD) the relaxation of current Governmental procedures, to render the employment of Third Country Nationals in the Tech sector in Cyprus.
It is important to note that the CRMD kindly granted this relaxation to citizens who are already employed by firms which are currently TechIsland members. More specifically, these relaxations were achieved after extended talks with the CRMD and other governmental bodies, and they concern the issuance of working visas for over 3000, 3rd country nationals seeking relocation to Cyprus within the tech sector.
For further information on all the documents required for 3rd Country Nationals to complete, on exceptions which apply and other important notes, and for the procedure which employers must follow to employ 3rd country nationals, please contact our Head of Operations, Tanya Romanyukha at tanya@thetechisland.org who will forward you the guide including all new measures.
